Data Analyst

Role Overview

Join Modern Health as a Data Analyst working cross-functionally across teams to deliver client-facing reporting, build the analytics data foundation, and support clinical analytics workstreams.

Key Missions

• Develop and maintain client reporting to help customers understand the value of their investment.
• Build and maintain the data foundation for analytics, including dbt models and metric definitions.
• Partner with stakeholders to surface insights, deliver reliable reports, and support better data-driven decisions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of analytics experience, ideally with exposure to healthcare, health tech, or a clinical setting.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset; comfortable rolling up your sleeves.
• Ability to work with messy/ambiguous data and clearly communicate limitations and assumptions.
• Comfort interfacing with internal leadership; strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to explain analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present results clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• SQL proficiency, plus experience with Python or R, and dbt.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and data visualization.
• Master’s degree in a health- or analytics-related field.
• Interest/passion for the mental health space.

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Signals

• Digital health experience.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks such as HIPAA (and/or similar).
• BI tooling experience (e.g., Looker or Tableau or similar).
• Experience with external-facing client reporting.
• High-growth startup experience.
