Data Analyst I

Role Overview

Acorns is seeking a Data Analyst I to support its Core Experience team, with a focus on the Investing and Banking product lines. You’ll use data to optimize the customer journey and turn raw data into actionable insights that improve retention and the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Core Experience team to drive ideation and rigorous analysis for product experiments.
• Partner with Product, Finance, and Operations to build and maintain reports and dashboards for Investing and Banking.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for deep-dive analysis across multiple data sources.
• Use Databricks and dbt to transform raw data into clean, accessible datasets.
• Design and manage Tableau dashboards to track KPIs for Investing and Banking.
• Monitor customer behavior and product performance using Amplitude to identify opportunities for friction reduction and growth.
• Work with cross-functional leaders to set priorities, including infrastructure and tool building.

Requirements

• 3+ years of analytics experience, ideally supporting product development or financial services.
• Strong SQL and experience with Tableau (data visualization).
• Solid foundation in statistics and hands-on experience with A/B testing and product experimentation.
• Familiarity with a modern data stack: Databricks, dbt, and product analytics such as Amplitude.
• Ability to translate complex analytics into clear, persuasive recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
• High drive for delivering impactful, precise work aligned with the company’s mission and values.
