Data Analyst I

Role Overview

Data Analyst I for Acorns’ Core Experience team, focused on Investing and Banking.

You’ll use data at the intersection of Product, Finance, and Operations to optimize the customer journey, inform the product roadmap, and improve retention and overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Core Experience team on ideation and rigorous analysis of product experiments
• Partner with Product, Finance, and Operations to build and maintain reports and dashboards
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for deep-dive analysis
• Use Databricks and dbt to transform raw data into clean, accessible datasets
• Design and manage Tableau dashboards to track KPIs for Investing and Banking
• Monitor customer behavior and product performance using Amplitude to identify friction-reduction and growth opportunities
• Work with cross-functional teams to set priorities, including new infrastructure and tool building

Requirements

• 3–5 years of analytics experience (preferably product development or financial services)
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Tableau and data visualization
• Solid statistical foundations
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing and product experimentation
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools: Databricks, dbt, and Amplitude
• Ability to translate complex findings into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders (Finance/Operations)
