Role overview

Customer Success Engineer / Architect at Soracom, serving as the technical counterpart to Customer Success Managers for strategic, high-growth accounts. This post-sales role focuses on technical engagement that drives retention and net revenue expansion.

Key missions

Partner with customers to optimize their use of Soracom services
Identify new opportunities for value creation and expand share of wallet
Act as a trusted technical advisor and solution architect for customers in complex IoT environments
Lead technical discovery, demos, and presentations, adapting to customer needs in real time
Support solution-focused discussions for both existing account expansion and new value opportunities

Requirements

7+ years of experience in IoT, networking, cloud architecture, or cellular connectivity in customer-facing roles
Ability to translate architectural recommendations into measurable business outcomes
Strong communication skills: clear explanation of complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex systems
Comfort managing multiple priorities across parallel customer engagements
Willingness to travel as needed
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Solid technical foundation in networking, cloud, and/or software development
Experience with IoT ecosystems: devices, connectivity, and cloud integration
Experience developing or integrating hardware and software solutions
Familiarity with public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Hands-on experience with cellular hardware (modules and gateways)
Experience with APIs, system integrations, and data flow between distributed systems
Understanding of network infrastructure concepts: routing, switching, firewalls
Familiarity with cellular technologies: LTE, 5G, eSIM
Experience with solution architecture and/or technical consulting in similar customer-facing engineering roles

Nice-to-haves

Experience using AI tools to improve personal productivity and enhance customer engagement
