About the role
Role overview
Join Salesforce’s worldwide Customer Success team as a Customer Success Architect (Sales Cloud/Platform). You will guide strategic customers on solution design, optimize system performance, and deliver architecture and platform lifecycle insights to help them maximize their Salesforce investment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with strategic customers to assess Sales Cloud implementations and provide expert recommendations on technical architecture and solution design.
- Act as a trusted Sales Cloud subject matter expert, providing proactive and reactive guidance on architecture and technology strategy.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to build long-term solutions that drive customer success, product improvement, and business growth.
- Lead architecture discussions and advocate for best practices; influence stakeholder decisions.
- Identify design inefficiencies, recommend optimizations, and drive customer transformation.
- Create clear, visually compelling design documents for business and executive audiences.
- Provide data-driven insights from customer success stories and industry trends.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software, system, or enterprise architecture.
- Experience delivering large-scale, complex implementations, including SaaS/PaaS multi-tenancy and multi-tier infrastructures.
- Strong English proficiency and excellent written/verbal communication, including presenting complex technical concepts to business and executive stakeholders.
- Expertise in Salesforce products/platform capabilities, technical governance, and best practices.
- Strong solution design & architecture skills.
- Knowledge of enterprise application integration, including process orchestration, master data management, AI, analytics, and security best practices.
- Strong Sales Cloud expertise, including:
- opportunity/pipeline management, forecasting, and email integration
- Einstein Conversation Insights, Sales Engagement, Sales Performance Management
- Data modeling and governance: lookup/master-detail relationships, validation rules, and data governance best practices.
- Integration/extensibility experience with:
- OAuth, Platform Events, External Objects
- Salesforce Connect and Event Relay
- Salesforce development and extensibility (hands-on): Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Integration patterns and data movement: import/export strategies, deduplication, ETL tools, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica) and connectors.
- Security and access architecture: role hierarchy, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and security configuration.
- Scalable architecture for large data volumes (LDV) and governor limits for efficient code execution.
Nice-to-haves
- Certified Architect Credentials (Application and System Architect).
- Experience with industry/vertical-specific solutions.
- Additional business-level languages (e.g., French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German).
