Role: Counsel (Regulatory)

Join Hims & Hers as Regulatory Counsel to provide actionable legal guidance on healthcare regulations affecting the company’s products and services.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

• Provide actionable legal advice on healthcare laws, rules, and regulations impacting telehealth products and services.
• Support multiple internal teams, with a focus on telehealth care delivery and regulatory considerations for new product launches.
• Advise cross-functional teams on healthcare regulatory issues, including legal risk considerations.
• Stay up to date on relevant state and federal telehealth laws.
• Support the customer experience team to help ensure customer interactions align with applicable healthcare regulatory requirements.

Requirements / Profile

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 4+ years of experience as a practicing attorney with healthcare regulatory experience.
• Familiarity with interpreting and advising on state and federal laws and regulations for facilitating care delivery services and operations.
• Experience with telehealth compliance/operations and digital health, including knowledge of areas such as:
  • telehealth modalities/technology,
  • corporate practice of medicine (CPOM),
  • state-by-state professional practice standards,
  • credentialing and provider compensation,
  • managing board complaints.
• Strong time management, project prioritization, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative, solution-focused approach and a team-oriented mindset.
• Experience interacting with legislators, trade associations, and licensing/regulatory authorities (e.g., Boards of Medicine/Nursing) is a plus.
