About the role
Role Overview
As a Corporate Account Executive (Southeast) at Chainguard, you will own sales execution for the Southeast territory, drive pipeline growth, and communicate the product’s value to prospects and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute sales plans for your assigned territory, with a focus on forecasting and meeting/exceeding quotas
- Develop and manage the lead pipeline using both inbound and outbound leads (end-to-end through CRM)
- Collaborate across the entire sales cycle, working with product, support, and sales engineering to improve outcomes
- Stay current on the competitive market and adjust sales execution accordingly
Requirements
- Located in the Southeast region of the United States
- Willing to travel to clients to support sales relationships (if required)
- Strong history of consistently overachieving sales targets (top ~10–20% preferred)
- 3+ years of closing experience in SaaS/Security/DevOps
- Ability to learn new products quickly and develop/learn processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Team player with an entrepreneurial, high-ownership mindset
- Ability to thrive in an agile, evolving environment
Nice to Have / Strongly Recommended
- Domain experience with one or more of:
- Compute platforms: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP
- DevOps tooling
- CI/CD platforms: GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins
- SDLC knowledge
- Startup experience
