Controls Design Modeller (Electrical ELV)

Role overview

Independent contractor long-term engagement for a Controls Design Modeler (Electrical ELV) supporting mission-critical (including hyperscale data centers) projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce controls system design drawings and models using Autodesk Revit.
• Support building automation/control system design for HVAC and related systems under senior engineer guidance.
• Create and assist with layout, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel designs for control systems.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to deliver integrated designs.
• Contribute to low-voltage system design as needed (including fire alarm where applicable).
• Maintain and update project documentation to match project standards.
• Support design reviews by incorporating feedback and revising deliverables.
• Assist with submittals, as-built drawings, and commissioning documentation.
• Follow internal QA/QC processes and applicable industry standards/codes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in controls design, building systems, or extra low-voltage systems.
• Autodesk Revit proficiency required (at least 1 year of constant use).
• Basic understanding of BAS/BMS, DDC controls, and integration with HVAC.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow technical direction.

Nice to have

• Exposure to fire alarm and/or other low-voltage systems (security, communications).

Contract / location

• Long-term independent contractor engagement (ongoing; not limited to a single project).
• Anywhere in the world (noted as Albania + remote).
