About the role
Role Overview
As a Contract Manager at Whalar, you will draft, negotiate, and execute creator/talent agreements, review creator content for intellectual property (IP) risks, and support the company’s production studio division. You’ll work closely with the Business Affairs team and key US-based stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and execute creator/talent agreements
- Review creator content to identify and mitigate IP risks
- Collaborate with internal teams to communicate timelines and deadlines
- Manage and mitigate risk and provide advice on compliance and best practices
- Support production studio operations as needed
- Present updates to internal teams as required
Requirements
- Background in social media marketing/advertising, influencer management, or entertainment
- Strong exposure to contracts, contract principles, and negotiation
- 3–6 years experience in the creator economy, social media marketing, marketing/advertising, or entertainment
- Solid understanding of FTC guidelines and IP, including content clearance & licensing principles
- Very experienced with drafting/editing high volumes of creator/talent agreements
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and professionalism
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and follow up effectively
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary
