Contract Manager

Role Overview

Join Cohere as a Contract Manager (full remote). You will scale contract operations and partner closely with Legal, Sales, Product, and Finance to manage the contract lifecycle and improve contract management processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for contract requests that do not require legal counsel, providing timely guidance on standard terms and processes.
• Oversee the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, including:
  • Drafting standard agreements
  • Managing approvals
  • Maintaining contract repositories
• Develop and implement efficient contract management processes and workflows to reduce operational friction and support growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Finance.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of contract management experience, preferably in a fast-paced technology or AI environment.
• Familiarity with standard contract types such as:
  • NDAs
  • Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
  • Procurement contracts
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency with Ironclad, including setting up and managing workflows and templates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google productivity tools.
• Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
• Practical business mindset balancing legal requirements with business needs.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AI industry contracts and technology sector agreements.
• Experience implementing or optimizing contract management processes.
