About the role
Role Overview
As an InProduction Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will build and drive a continuous improvement culture across the company. You’ll set and document process standards, collaborate cross-functionally to improve operations, and support Lean training and adoption (e.g., Standard Work and Kaizen).
Key Responsibilities
Process Standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to improve operational processes
- Document and maintain Standard Work Instructions
- Maintain and monitor process standard revisions; communicate updates to impacted teams
- Create Process Maps and Value Stream Maps
- Maintain CI documentation assets, including templates and repository
Kaizen Events
- Prepare A3 worksheets and preparation checklists for Kaizen events
- Gather and analyze operational and financial data to define process metrics
- Support facilitation and participation in Kaizen events
- Develop rollout project plans and timelines for new processes
- Follow up with stakeholders before and after Kaizen events to ensure alignment
Operational & Management Support
- Support development of quarterly continuous improvement objectives and lean events
- Lead and support Continuous Improvement projects to drive operational improvements
- Present initiatives and project updates to operations leadership
- Support internal audits to ensure process compliance
- Teach and coach Lean principles to support cross-functional teams
Requirements
- General knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive mindset for identifying process improvements and influencing process changes
- Comfort working across cross-functional teams
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office 365, including Visio
Nice-to-Haves
- Comfort facilitating Kaizen events
- Experience leading continuous improvement operational projects
- Accountability mindset focused on quality, safety, and customer expectations
