About the role
Contents Crew Lead (Contents Technician II)
Play a key role in helping clients recover their belongings after fire, water, and mold events. You’ll restore contents, mentor teammates, operate specialized equipment, and keep projects on schedule through careful documentation and problem-solving.
A Day in the Life
- Restore and clean contents (e.g., photos and personal items) using advanced tools and cleaning systems
- Clean and maintain specialized restoration equipment
- Track, photograph, and document contents with meticulous records
- Handle items carefully while following safety procedures
- Troubleshoot issues and problem-solve to keep work moving efficiently
- Lead by example and create a positive, efficient, and safe environment
- Mentor and support Contents Technician I team members
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in restoration, emergency services, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of cleaning methods for fire, water, and mold restoration
- Experience operating Ozone and Hydroxyl machines or similar restoration equipment
- Excellent attention to detail; strong organizational and teamwork skills
- Ability to guide and support Contents Technician I team members
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable using mobile devices and apps
- Certifications required:
- WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician)
- FSRT (Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician)
- OCT (Odor Control Technician)
- Additional certifications considered an asset:
- CCT (Commercial Carpet Cleaning)
- RRT (Carpet Repair and Reinstallation)
- UFT (Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning)
- AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract
- Must be able to complete physically demanding work (material handling/lifting, climbing ladders, respirator use, working in tight spaces)
