About the role

Role Overview

Content Project Manager coordinating the delivery of high-quality educational content from author engagement through final publication. You’ll partner with authors, production teams, curriculum specialists, and internal stakeholders to keep content initiatives on track and continually improve content operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of assigned content projects and maintain strong relationships with contracted authors.
  • Manage the full content lifecycle: support onboarding, project kickoffs, scheduling, tracking, and publication execution.
  • Monitor progress, submission schedules, and delivery milestones; identify risks or delays early.
  • Run publication readiness checks to ensure content meets quality and operational standards.
  • Lead post-project retrospectives, document lessons learned, and drive process improvements.
  • Use project data/tracking tools to monitor project health, spot trends, and communicate issues with recommended solutions.
  • Coordinate with production, curriculum, and internal teams across review and publishing stages.
  • Provide regular stakeholder updates and escalate risks with clear recommendations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in project coordination, content operations, editorial production, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects independently (large portfolios preferred).
  • Strong risk identification and proactive communication to drive projects to successful outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and making decisions within established guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate project tracking.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana and Google Workspace (or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience working with external contributors (e.g., contracted authors).

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fast-paced content/education environments and building scalable content experiences.
