Construction Project Manager (Remote - Eastern Time Zone Preferred)

Role overview

The Construction Project Manager leads and manages store construction projects for Finish Line and its subsidiaries. The role partners with general contractors, architects, vendors, and internal teams to deliver store builds on time and on budget while maintaining brand integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end store construction projects for Finish Line and subsidiaries.
• Manage General Contractor Project Managers on construction details beyond architectural drawings.
• Review, approve, and track field change orders; coordinate change proposals and related contract documents.
• Schedule and execute store punch lists and project close-outs.
• Lead internal special projects, including vendor coordination, cost analysis, scheduling, and completion.
• Coordinate owner-supplied items with external vendors.
• Prepare store project workbooks/checklists for architects and manage drawing review timelines.
• Review and recommend architectural drawing changes to protect brand standards and control costs.
• Conduct pre-bid site evaluations and manage bid processes:
  • Issue invitations to bid
  • Request information (RFI) as needed
• Develop and manage project cost estimates and budgets (labor/material/time components).
• Monitor material procurement by subcontractors and ensure schedule performance.
• Ensure construction quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with tenant design, operational, and technical providers to ensure accuracy in tenant construction documents/build-out.
• Run weekly construction progress meetings (agenda/minutes, schedule updates, change order log).
• Document and process material submittals, shop drawings, and finish selections for approval.
• Perform project plan/specification analysis and manage schedule/turnover planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, project management (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in construction, store facilities, or a design role for a specialty retailer, including leadership experience.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.

• Experience with web-based project management tools.
