About the role
Role Overview
Construction Project Manager (Turnkey / Travel-Based) — Remote (U.S.) Travel is required. This role is focused on end-to-end project ownership in active facilities, coordinating multiple stakeholders while keeping projects on track despite real-world jobsite variables.
Responsibilities
- Own multiple projects simultaneously (often 5–10+ at a time)
- Coordinate with customers, general contractors (GCs), and installation teams
- Oversee subcontractors across trades, including (examples) carpentry, refrigeration, and electrical
- Manage scheduling, change orders, and project documentation
- Travel to job sites to keep projects aligned and moving
- Resolve issues quickly, including problems introduced by your own team
Requirements
- Construction project management experience (not an IT PM role)
- Ability to manage contractors and maintain schedules under pressure
- Strong internal and external communication
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, imperfect environment
- Willing to travel ~50–70% depending on workload
- Firm and accountable when needed, while maintaining a partnership-oriented approach
Nice to Have / What Tends to Work Well
- 5–8 years construction experience (sweet spot)
- Background in commercial construction, interiors, or specialty builds
- Experience managing both details and relationships; can be hands-on when required
Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- Base pay: ~$95K+ depending on experience
- Bonus: 10–15% based on company performance
- Travel expenses covered (company card, flights, lodging, etc.)
