About the role
Role overview
Compliance Specialist (Human Resources Compliance) serves as the subject matter expert for HR compliance across the QC ecosystem’s family of companies. You will administer HR compliance programs, ensure adherence to federal/state/local employment laws, and manage required regulatory reporting and policy administration.
Responsibilities
Regulatory compliance & reporting
- Own the annual HR compliance calendar and ensure recurring requirements are completed on time
- Prepare, coordinate, validate, and submit employment and benefits-related regulatory reporting, including:
- EEO-1 reporting
- California Pay Data reporting
- ACA reporting
- Form 5500 coordination
- Prescription Drug Data Collection (RxDC)
- VETS-4212 reporting
- State-required employment reporting
- Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors to collect/validate reporting information
- Maintain documentation for filings and audit readiness
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion
Employment law compliance & policy administration
- Monitor employment law changes (federal, state, local) and assess impact on HR policies and practices
- Partner with the Leave, Time & Compensation Specialist to ensure leave-law requirements are reflected in HR policy and practice
- Draft, revise, maintain, and publish HR policies and handbook content (including state-specific addendums)
Collaboration & working style
- Works with cross-functional teams and business leaders to ensure compliance obligations are accurate, timely, and consistent
- Receives limited day-to-day direction; executes complex-scope tasks and may assist team leadership on projects
