About the role
Role Overview
Join Crypto.com’s Derivatives North America (CDNA) Market Regulation team as a Compliance – Market Surveillance Analyst. This is a fully remote role for candidates in the US. You will monitor derivatives market activity, investigate potential rule violations, and support regulatory compliance across multiple asset classes.
Responsibilities
Real-Time Market Monitoring
- Monitor exchange activity, security feeds, and product safety data to identify potential market abuse (e.g., wash trading, spoofing) and ensure fair price discovery.
- Monitor real-time market data for compliance with margin requirements and position limits.
- Use surveillance tools/dashboards to flag anomalies and escalate concerns.
Trade Analysis & Investigation
- Perform post-trade reviews and forensic analysis of flagged transactions.
- Investigate potential rule violations by collecting records, obtaining testimony, and drafting investigative reports for the Chief Regulatory Officer.
- Prepare detailed findings and recommend appropriate enforcement actions.
Regulatory Compliance & Policy
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulations (e.g., SEC/CFTC/FINRA) and internal policies.
- Assist with responses to regulatory inquiries and audits.
- Contribute to surveillance protocol and compliance framework development.
- Support enforcement of KYC/AML and transaction monitoring.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Legal, Risk, and Technology teams to improve surveillance systems and compliance workflows.
- Liaise with external regulators and industry bodies as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Math, or Juris Doctor (JD).
- 4+ years of compliance experience in financial services (or equivalent).
- Experience in derivatives or prediction markets; familiarity with futures markets, commodities, and trading.
- Familiarity with trade surveillance platforms (required).
- Strong communication skills with market participants, regulators, and executive management.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Knowledge of futures exchange operations, trading, risk management, or regulation.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
Nice to Have
- Experience across TradFi and/or Crypto spaces (derivatives/prediction markets in particular).
