About the role
Role Overview
Join CertiK as a Compliance Engineer Intern (full remote). You will support the engineering team with regulatory research, licensing analysis, AI output review, and preparation of client deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Support regulatory research and licensing analysis for client and internal compliance work.
- Work with client-facing teams, compliance reviewers, and Engineering to:
- Organize regulatory knowledge
- Prepare initial drafts for deliverables
- Convert recurring compliance tasks into reusable mappings, templates, and workflows
- Research, summarize, and document regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements.
- Support licensing and regulatory-readiness projects.
- Review AI outputs with a focus on compliance context, source traceability, and human-in-the-loop review.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented self-starter with strong interest in regulatory compliance, digital assets, and AI.
- Comfortable researching unfamiliar regulatory topics and producing clear first drafts.
- Interest in how licensing applications and compliance reviews work in practice.
- Strong research, analytical, and structured writing skills.
- Ability to organize complex information into checklists, summaries, presentations, and reports.
- Strong written and spoken English; professional Chinese proficiency preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing regulatory sources, citations, and customer materials.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in law, finance, accounting, risk management, public policy, business, computer science, or a related field.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with digital-asset regulation and VASP licensing or similar regulatory frameworks.
- Prior internship/coursework/projects in compliance, law, audit, fintech, digital assets, or regulatory research.
- Basic understanding of LLM limitations, hallucination risk, source traceability, and human review processes.
