About the role
Role Overview
Symbotic is seeking a Compliance Analyst to support transactional compliance activities across SAP and Ariba. The role focuses on ensuring procurement and financial transactions meet company policies and financial control requirements, with an emphasis on goods receipt compliance, entry compliance, and overall transactional integrity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review procurement transactions in SAP and Ariba for compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Validate that goods receipts are completed accurately and timely.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve compliance exceptions involving:
- Purchase orders
- Goods receipts
- Invoices
- Vendor transactions
- Partner with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Receiving, and Business Unit stakeholders to remediate issues.
- Conduct regular audits of procurement transactions and document findings.
- Track and report compliance metrics, trends, and risk areas.
- Support month-end and quarter-end compliance review and reporting.
- Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs, controls, and training materials.
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen procurement compliance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, finance operations, accounts payable, compliance, or related functions.
- Experience with ERP systems (specifically SAP) and procurement platforms (specifically Ariba).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Experience with project-based or percentage-of-completion accounting environments.
- Knowledge of procurement, project accounting, or financial control processes.
- Experience with compliance reporting and KPI development.
- Familiarity with SOX controls or internal audit practices.
Travel / Other
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to drive and/or fly to client/customer locations.
- Personal credit card may be needed for business travel expenses during onboarding (reimbursed per program guidelines).
