About the role
Role Overview
Twilio is seeking a Compensation Manager (full remote) to design, implement, and manage compensation programs that help attract and retain top technical talent. You will serve as a strategic advisor to leaders and HR Business Partners, shaping compensation philosophy and guiding annual and mid-year compensation cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Go-to-Market and Marketing organizations to design, implement, and manage compensation programs.
- Advise leaders and HR Business Partners on benchmarking and market trends.
- Facilitate enterprise compensation processes, including:
- Annual compensation review cycles
- Promotion cycles
- Survey participation and use of survey data
- Lead compensation program delivery and support change management.
- Provide compensation analytics to inform decisions (modeling, dashboards, reporting).
- Support sales compensation structures, including pay mix and OTE (On-Target Earnings).
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably supporting technical organizations.
- Strong compensation analytics background (modeling, dashboards) and advanced spreadsheet proficiency.
- Experience with market pricing and compensation survey participation, including accessing provider survey data.
- Strong HR product knowledge and awareness of HR strategy across talent identification, attraction, engagement, and retention.
- Workday (preferred) or other Human Resources Information System (HRIS) experience.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with equity compensation structures at a publicly traded company.
- Experience with compensation tools such as PAVE or Compa.
- Prior experience in sales compensation design and/or administration.
