About the role

Role Overview

Twilio is seeking a Compensation Manager (full remote) to design, implement, and manage compensation programs that help attract and retain top technical talent. You will serve as a strategic advisor to leaders and HR Business Partners, shaping compensation philosophy and guiding annual and mid-year compensation cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Go-to-Market and Marketing organizations to design, implement, and manage compensation programs.
  • Advise leaders and HR Business Partners on benchmarking and market trends.
  • Facilitate enterprise compensation processes, including:
    • Annual compensation review cycles
    • Promotion cycles
    • Survey participation and use of survey data
  • Lead compensation program delivery and support change management.
  • Provide compensation analytics to inform decisions (modeling, dashboards, reporting).
  • Support sales compensation structures, including pay mix and OTE (On-Target Earnings).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably supporting technical organizations.
  • Strong compensation analytics background (modeling, dashboards) and advanced spreadsheet proficiency.
  • Experience with market pricing and compensation survey participation, including accessing provider survey data.
  • Strong HR product knowledge and awareness of HR strategy across talent identification, attraction, engagement, and retention.
  • Workday (preferred) or other Human Resources Information System (HRIS) experience.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with equity compensation structures at a publicly traded company.
  • Experience with compensation tools such as PAVE or Compa.
  • Prior experience in sales compensation design and/or administration.
