Cloud Solutions Architect

Role Overview

Opti9 Tech is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to support revenue-generating activities within the public cloud services team. You’ll provide solution architecture, service design, and delivery, combining deep cloud expertise with strong communication to drive customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the building and migration of customer applications, infrastructure, software, and services to the cloud
• Design scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized cloud architectures aligned to customer needs
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful deployment and implementation
• Educate customers on cloud value, lead complex architectural discussions, and advocate for cloud adoption
• Conduct workshops and knowledge transfer sessions
• Build relationships with senior technical stakeholders to promote best practices and cloud advocacy
• Create proposals and SOWs, and present them to customers
• Stay current on industry trends and AWS advancements; recommend innovations to improve performance and reduce costs
• Improve internal processes/tools/methodologies for cloud service delivery
• Design compliant and secure cloud solutions aligned with security and compliance benchmarks
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to align on goals and customer expectations
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to public cloud services capability building

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect, Cloud Engineer, or similar role
• Extensive AWS knowledge (services, tools, and best practices)
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain technical concepts in business terms
• Ability to lead discussions and influence technical and business stakeholders
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing complex cloud solutions (preferably on AWS)
• Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform)

• AWS certifications at Professional or Specialty level, such as:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
