Cloud Solutions Architect

Role Overview

ArcheSys is hiring a Cloud Solutions Architect for a fully remote, full-time position. You will lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of modern cloud and software architectures that meet customer business requirements and support future growth. You’ll serve as a hands-on bridge between business units and technical teams across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & Delivery
  • Design comprehensive solution architectures aligned to business objectives.
  • Create customized solutions for specific business challenges.
  • Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS).
  • Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops/meetings to gather requirements and feedback.
• Technology Evaluation & Integration
  • Assess existing systems and propose enhancements and integrations.
  • Evaluate technology partners and vendors to support solution delivery.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
  • Produce detailed documentation, including architectural diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Lead training/workshops to enable adoption of new solutions.
• Compliance, Governance & Security
  • Ensure solutions meet industry standards and organizational policies (including data privacy and security).
  • Coordinate with legal/compliance teams to satisfy regulatory requirements.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization
  • Monitor solution performance and optimize where needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve post-implementation issues.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
  • Advocate best practices in architecture and design.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Cloud certification: Certification in at least one cloud platform (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
• Authorization & clearance:
  • Must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years and be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).
  • Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • No sponsorship is offered.

Nice to Have / Preferred

• Master’s degree and/or additional professional certifications.
• Additional certifications in DevOps/SRE practices (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes are referenced but the posting is truncated).
