Cloud Solutions Architect (AI)

Role Overview

Cloud Solutions Architect (AI Focus) for the DHS ICE - OSDSS program.

• Full-time, remote (United States)
• DHS Public Trust clearance required and must be fully granted before starting (typical processing 4–6+ weeks)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure for development teams.
• Architect and optimize cloud environments for compliance, performance, and long-term sustainability.
• Provide expert guidance for AI solution integration and deployment in cloud environments.
• Integrate and migrate new tools/platforms/services into existing SecDevOps pipelines.
• Optimize cloud spend (e.g., VM burn time, right-sizing resources, removing unused VMs).
• Provide third-tier support for outages and complex system issues.
• Act as a strategic advisor on cloud services, integration timelines, and product roadmaps.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect/Cloud Architect in AWS, Azure, or both.
• Hands-on experience designing and supporting AI/ML solutions in the cloud.
• Strong SecDevOps background and/or CI/CD integration within cloud environments.
• Expertise in cloud cost optimization and performance tuning.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance.

Nice to Have

• Cloud certifications (desired, strongly preferred).
