About the role
Role Overview
Cloud Solution Architect for the Cloud & AI Data Platform, advising customers on solution envisioning, design, and deployment for intelligent applications. You will lead technical service delivery as a subject matter expert, creating repeatable, customer-facing services and driving real-world outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Cloud & AI Data Platform subject matter expert; lead technical service delivery.
- Align service architecture and design with business priorities; manage deployment and change adoption.
- Provide thought leadership across AI service components; help develop intellectual property and improve design quality.
- Drive technical engagements to accelerate adoption of:
- Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric
- Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, MLOps
- Data governance platforms
- Ensure customer satisfaction and build trusted relationships with customer/partner architects and C-level technical/business decision makers.
- Bridge communication between technical and business stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer success and value realization.
- Support team skill development and share expertise; collaborate with peers/product groups for unified delivery and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND 4+ years in cloud/infrastructure technologies and/or IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, architecture, or consulting.
- OR equivalent experience.
- No visa sponsorship: unable to sponsor work visas for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years relevant cloud/infrastructure + consulting (with Bachelor’s) OR 6+ years (with Master’s).
- 4+ years customer-facing experience.
- 4+ years technical project experience.
- Relevant cloud technical certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP, security).
- Demonstrated expertise with at least one Microsoft data & AI platform (Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Azure SQL/Microsoft Fabric, Azure ML/MLOps/Azure AI Foundry).
- Data & AI certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate).
- Experience with distributed data engineering, lakehouse architectures, MLOps, and data governance frameworks.
Compensation & Location
- Typical U.S. base pay range: $106,400–$203,600/year.
- San Francisco Bay Area & NYC metro: $137,600–$222,600/year.
- Work flexibility: up to 50% remote.
- Location: United States.
