Cloud Security Engineer – GCP, IAM, Terraform – 100% Remote (USA)

Role Overview

Cloud Security Engineer to support a cloud security and infrastructure initiative. You will implement and manage Identity & Access Management (IAM) controls on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and automate secure infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage IAM policies, roles, permissions, and access controls across GCP environments
• Configure and maintain secure authentication and authorization frameworks in GCP
• Develop, deploy, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
• Support cloud security initiatives and ensure adherence to governance and best practices
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and access management processes
• Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and infrastructure engineers on scalable, secure solutions
• Troubleshoot IAM, GCP, and Terraform issues in complex environments
• Contribute to cloud migration, optimization, and security enhancement projects

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Extensive experience administering IAM in cloud environments
• Proven expertise with Terraform and IaC practices
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, governance, and access management best practices
• Experience troubleshooting complex cloud infrastructure and security issues
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
• Relevant GCP certifications

Contract & Remote

• Initial 1–2 month+ contract with potential extension on a rolling monthly basis
• 100% remote from the USA, working East Coast or Central Time zones
