About the role
Role Overview
Join Apheris as a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure that supports internal engineering workflows and customer deployments. You’ll collaborate with customer infrastructure/cloud teams and help improve automation across infrastructure-as-code and delivery systems.
Key Missions
- Design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure powering internal workflows and customer deployments.
- Collaborate with customers to support deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful operation of the Apheris platform.
- Refine and enhance:
- IaC (Infrastructure as Code) setups
- CI/CD systems
- GitOps systems
- Improve and automate customer deployment processes.
Profile / Requirements
- Clear communication in English (written and spoken) and effective collaboration with external stakeholders (customers’ cloud platform teams).
- Hands-on experience with:
- Container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
- At least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack
- Enjoys working closely with engineers and end users; motivated by solving complex technical problems.
- 3+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with infrastructure/deployment automation tools such as Helm and Terraform (or similar).
- Experience with HPC, scientific computing environments, or platform engineering.
- Experience in regulated industries such as Pharma, Life Sciences, or Financial Services.
- Experience with on-prem Kubernetes deployments (e.g., k3s).
Nice-to-haves (implicit)
- Strong fit for platform engineering in scientific/HPC and regulated environments.
- On-prem Kubernetes exposure, especially with lightweight Kubernetes distributions (k3s).
