Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview

Join Alchemy as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and continuously improve the infrastructure powering the company’s blockchain developer platform at massive scale. You’ll work with cloud-native technologies and help drive AI enablement across engineering through better tooling and workflows.

Key missions

• Design, deploy, and improve platform infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Architect and operate scalable, self-healing infrastructure using:
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • cloud-native tools
  • multi-region deployments
• Drive AI enablement by optimizing repositories, tooling, and workflows for agentic development.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production infrastructure for a high-throughput platform.
• Respond to incidents calmly and focus on systemic improvements.
• Collaborate closely with SRE, security, and product engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years as an Infrastructure Engineer focused on reliability (SRE/Production/Platform Engineering).
• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure: AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and multi-region architectures.
• Strong skills with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows (e.g., Argo CD) with an automation-first mindset.
• Solid networking fundamentals (e.g., VPC design, DNS, IPAM, security groups, cross-cloud connectivity). Service mesh experience (e.g., Istio) is a plus.
• Proficiency with observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana.
• Experience driving reliability efforts such as SLO frameworks and error budget policies.

Nice to have

• Agentic development tooling experience (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
• Workflow automation for engineering (e.g., n8n) to accelerate IaC and internal tooling.
• Experience in blockchain infrastructure, distributed systems, or high-throughput RPC.
