Cloud Infrastructure Architect (AWS)

Role overview

Quantiphi is hiring a Cloud Infrastructure Architect (AWS) for a remote (USA), full-time role. You will lead Platform Engineering initiatives and serve as an Infrastructure Migration Specialist / Solution Architect, specializing in migrating workloads from on-premises data centers to AWS using rehosting and replatforming approaches.

Responsibilities

• Act as Infrastructure Migration Specialist and Solution Architect for on-prem → AWS migrations.
• Spearhead platform engineering for large-scale Lift and Shift (Rehost) and Replatform migrations targeting AWS EC2-based architectures.
• Plan and execute migrations using tools and services such as:
  • AWS Migration Hub
  • AWS MGN (Application Migration Service)
  • AWS SMS (Server Migration Service)
  • CloudEndure and Double-Take
• Perform portfolio assessments and define migration strategies using AWS Migration Evaluator.
• Troubleshoot Windows/Linux OS and database server issues during migration to ensure a smooth transition.
• Use AWS infrastructure services to architect, deploy, and maintain cloud environments.

Required skills / qualifications

• 8+ years experience.
• Strong AWS proficiency in architecting, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure, including (examples listed):
  • VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, EC2, SQS, SSM, ASG, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
  • Boto3, Python, Shell scripting, Automation
  • SNS, KMS, EKS, ECR, RDS
• Enterprise architecture experience, including medium-to-large scale and multi-account AWS setups.
• Deep cloud migration expertise, including the 7 Rs.
• Must have completed:
  • at least one large-scale Rehost (Lift and Shift) migration
  • at least one large-scale Replatform migration
  • both focused on EC2 instance-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS migration services/tools, including Migration Hub, AWS MGN, and AWS SMS.
• Experience using CloudEndure and Double-Take.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with database servers.
