Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

Full-time remote Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for client environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage cloud services on Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Automate infrastructure deployments and optimize for performance, reliability, and cost
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application workloads
• Implement best practices to ensure high availability and resilience
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud resources
• Manage Linux-based systems
• Maintain databases and related services (including operational readiness)
• Document architectures and contribute to technical standards
• Continuously improve infrastructure and operational processes

Requirements

• Strong cloud computing experience with at least one major platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Solid infrastructure knowledge: networking, storage, security controls, and infrastructure automation
• Linux administration and scripting for configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Database knowledge: deployment, performance tuning, backup strategies, and high-availability configurations
• Software development concepts: CI/CD, version control, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and SRE/DevOps practices
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, able to work effectively remotely

Nice to Have

• Cybersecurity principles and identity & access management experience in cloud environments
