About the role

Role Overview

Cloud DevOps Engineer working on mission-critical national defense initiatives. You will engineer, automate, and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments across AWS, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and modern web technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, automate, and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments
  • Rapidly integrate with existing infrastructure workflows to support:
    • Infrastructure automation
    • Container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
    • Identity integrations
  • Collaborate with cyber, networking, and development teams to enhance cloud hosting platforms
  • Contribute to Naval Operational Architecture (NOA) for national defense solutions
  • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure, including:
    • EC2
    • VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups
    • Storage services
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
    • CloudFormation
    • YAML/JSON templates
    • Version-controlled automation pipelines

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
  • 3–6 years of DevOps experience supporting cloud applications or infrastructure
  • Active Secret Clearance required; ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • AWS experience including EC2, IAM, VPC networking, and storage services
  • Experience with automation tooling
  • Hands-on Kubernetes/OpenShift experience (deployments, scaling, troubleshooting)
  • Proficiency with Linux (RHEL/Amazon Linux) and Windows Server administration

Nice to Have

  • Experience contributing to Naval Operational Architecture (NOA)
