Cloud DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

ArcheSys Inc is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer for a fully remote, full-time position. You will work directly with public sector customers to design, develop, and implement secure and efficient cloud solutions, acting as a consultant and problem solver while continuously improving your skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Development & Maintenance
  • Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
  • Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Automation & Optimization
  • Automate deployment processes to reduce manual effort
  • Improve cost, system performance, and resource utilization
  • Build automation scripts/tools for installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Help integrate development work into automated pipelines
• Collaboration & Technical Support
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate applications and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with development teams
• Monitoring & Incident Response
  • Implement monitoring for proactive issue detection and system health
  • Participate in incident response to restore services after outages
  • Set up monitoring with New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
  • Contribute to alerting mechanisms for early notifications
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Document procedures, configurations, and specifications
  • Maintain a knowledge base and support ongoing knowledge-sharing
  • Support compliance initiatives by following established IT policies
• Professional Development
  • Stay current on emerging cloud/DevOps technologies and best practices
  • Participate in internal and external training
