Cloud DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

Cloud DevOps Engineer (fully remote, full-time) at ArcheSys Inc. You will help design, build, and operate secure and efficient cloud solutions for public sector customers, working closely with stakeholders and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure development & maintenance
  • Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS
  • Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Automation & optimization
  • Automate deployment processes to reduce manual effort
  • Improve cost, system performance, and resource utilization
  • Create automation scripts/tools to streamline install, configuration, and maintenance
• CI/CD
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Support teams integrating their work into automated pipelines
• Collaboration & support
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with development teams
• Monitoring & incident response
  • Implement monitoring for proactive health checks
  • Participate in incident response and service recovery
  • Set up monitoring using New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk
  • Help develop alerting/notification mechanisms
• Documentation & compliance support
  • Document procedures, configurations, and specifications
  • Maintain a knowledge base and support compliance with established IT policies
• Professional development
  • Keep up with emerging cloud/DevOps technologies and best practices
  • Participate in training and development opportunities

Requirements

• U.S. authorization required; no sponsorship
• Must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years
• Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain)

Nice-to-haves (implied by responsibilities)

• Hands-on experience with AWS-based DevOps practices (IaC, automation, CI/CD)
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana or Datadog/Splunk)
