About the role

Role Overview

Cloud Computing Architect (ETS - Engineering) responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and maintain Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure services, ensuring integrity, scalability, and performance.
  • Lead cloud platform installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance for enterprise environments.
  • Partner with IT personnel, vendors, consultants, and internal customers to implement new solutions and enhance capabilities.
  • Drive cloud modernization initiatives including upgrades, migrations, and optimization.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and governance across cloud environments.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Research and evaluate industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, integrating innovations into cloud strategy.
  • Provide strategic input aligning cloud architecture with organizational vision and business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and architecture frameworks.
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation in cloud services delivery.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Information Technology; 5+ years directly supporting AWS/Azure/cloud infrastructure.
  • Azure and AWS certifications preferred.
  • Experience includes designing, installing, deploying, evaluating performance and tuning, conducting technology research/evaluation, and capacity planning/mitigation.
  • Ability to coordinate third-party vendors for maintenance and to plan for capacity, upgrades, and new additions.

Nice to Have

  • Windows and RHEL operating systems knowledge.
  • Core services: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.
  • Backup/restore, Disaster Recovery, and storage/network technologies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD integration.

Schedule & Location

  • 8:00AM–5:00PM, Monday–Friday.
  • Remote (location: North Carolina, United States indicated).
