About the role

Role Overview

Cloud Architect is a hands-on technical role designing, building, and overseeing cloud infrastructure for healthcare clients. The position partners directly with client organizations, presents solutions, and mentors junior cloud engineers, working from an East Coast-aligned schedule.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage secure, highly available cloud infrastructure for healthcare clients
Lead and execute projects end-to-end: conception → implementation → support
Use Infrastructure as Code and automation tools, including:
- Terraform, Ansible
- AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates
- Google Cloud Deployment Manager
Act as a technical escalation point for cloud-related issues
Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and present solutions
Support presales and participate in solution demonstrations with sales/business development
Develop and maintain automation scripts/templates to improve operational efficiency
Ensure solutions follow security and compliance best practices, including HIPAA and HITRUST
Document architecture and operational processes for internal and client use
Support hybrid and multicloud environments as client needs evolve

Requirements

3–5+ years of hands-on experience (hands-on, designing and implementing cloud solutions using cloud services such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)

Nice-to-Haves

Experience supporting HIPAA-regulated healthcare environments
Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience
