About the role

Role: Cloud Architect (Hands-on)

The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, building, and overseeing cloud infrastructure for healthcare clients. You will partner with client organizations, present technical solutions, mentor junior cloud engineers, and help ensure secure, highly available systems that meet healthcare compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage secure, highly available cloud infrastructure for healthcare clients using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud (and other providers as needed)
Act as technical lead and individual contributor, taking projects from conception through implementation and support
Use Infrastructure as Code and automation tools, including:
- Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager
Serve as a key escalation point for cloud-related issues
Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and ensure a positive customer experience
Support presales activities and solution demonstrations with Sales/Business Development
Build and maintain automation scripts/templates to improve operational efficiency
Ensure solutions follow security and compliance best practices, including HIPAA and HITRUST
Document architecture, processes, and procedures for internal and client use
Support hybrid and multicloud environments as client needs evolve

Requirements

3–5 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar platforms (as stated: “35 years” appears truncated; minimum inferred from the intent of the posting)
Demonstrated ability to design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation/ARM/Deployment Manager)
Ability to operate in HIPAA-regulated healthcare environments and comply with security/privacy requirements

May participate in client-facing presentations and presales demonstrations
Strong mentorship capability for junior cloud engineers
