About the role

Role Overview

Cloud Architect (AWS-focused) with strong Terraform experience. You will design cloud solutions, build Infrastructure-as-Code, and lead technical validation through proofs of concept (POCs) while supporting incident escalations and customer deliverables.

Responsibilities

Architect and deploy hybrid cloud environments across AWS (and Azure where applicable), including compute, networking, and storage
Administer and maintain cloud and on-prem OS/server environments, including troubleshooting and performance tuning
Build and maintain automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) to provision, deploy, and manage resources
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as DevSecOps, AIOps, and containers
Work independently on client engagements; recommend solutions and validate via POCs
Debug and analyze complex technical issues, including P1/P2 incident calls and escalations
Author formal external Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents and deliver presentations to customers
Mentor and support L1/L2/L3 support staff during escalations
Communicate with internal teams and external customers (written and verbal) to resolve issues and ensure strong customer experience

Requirements

5+ years hands-on AWS cloud architecture, including networking and storage (Azure experience is a plus)
3+ years designing and deploying hybrid cloud environments
3+ years scripting/automation experience, including IaC/Terraform
2+ years OS/server administration and maintenance
2+ years handling P1/P2 incident calls, escalations, and formal RCA documentation
Demonstrated ability to work independently on client-facing projects and conduct POCs
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

Experience with DevSecOps and AIOps tooling
Containers/Kubernetes experience
Prior experience mentoring or leading L1/L2/L3 support teams
