About the role

Role Overview

As a Cloud Architect at Keyfactor, you will architect, design, validate, and improve security-focused multi-cloud hosting solutions. You’ll work with cloud architecture leadership to modernize platforms, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive implementations through cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

Design new scalable, highly available, security-focused multi-cloud international hosting solutions
Create platform modernization and migration strategies for existing IaaS/PaaS/Containers environments
Partner with architecture teams to run POCs and implement designs in cloud environments
Optimize performance, troubleshoot highly technical systems, and analyze root causes
Build automation-driven solutions using tools such as Bicep and Ansible
Document current systems and maintain policies, guidelines, and SOPs
Develop test protocols and plans for cloud-hosted application version testing
Troubleshoot application/database performance issues involving connectivity, access, and security

Requirements

4+ years of architecture/design/configuration/deployment experience on Microsoft Azure
Ability to create and present architectural concepts and designs
Strong troubleshooting skills and critical thinking to identify and resolve root causes
Knowledge of networking and firewall design/configuration
Understanding of security best practices across infrastructure, applications, IAM, and data platform solutions
Strong familiarity with Azure SQL / SQL Server / database technologies
Ability to communicate effectively with organizational leaders

Nice to Have

Automation tools experience such as ARM Templates, Terraform, Ansible, or DSC
Kubernetes experience (e.g., Istio, ArgoCD) and operationalizing workflows
Experience with OpenSearch, Kafka, MongoDB
Security tools experience (e.g., SIEM, WAF, NGAV)
Azure and other cloud certifications

Logistics

Location: United States; Remote with preference for EST or CST time zones
Travel: Up to 10% travel required
