Cloud Architect - Infrastructure

Role Overview

Cloud Architect – Infrastructure at 3Cloud provides technical delivery leadership for client engagements. You will lead architectural design sessions, guide implementation teams, and help the infrastructure practice scale through reusable assets and cross-practice alignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery leadership across multiple client engagements
• Lead architectural design sessions with clients
• Coach and guide peers on implementations; manage client expectations
• Support team upskilling and build confidence in infrastructure delivery
• Build relationships across cloud infrastructure teams (delivery, delivery excellence/PMO, solution architecture) and external stakeholders
• Partner with Delivery Excellence/PMO to ensure milestones align with project plans, including capturing key client decisions
• Assist delivery teams in meeting billable targets by removing blockers
• Facilitate change orders and project extensions when needed
• Drive alignment across 3Cloud practice areas where technical interfaces overlap
• Provide technical oversight to help the infrastructure team scale
• Unblock engagements and remediate potential escalations proactively
• Create reusable artifacts/content that enable team billing and delivery effectiveness

Requirements

• Extensive technical knowledge of Azure and on-prem enterprise networking, including:
  • Azure VPN / ExpressRoute (with/without BGP)
  • Azure Firewall or third-party NVAs (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) across multiple design patterns
  • Routing and segmentation, network design and architecture
  • Routing protocols and route redistribution
  • Load balancing integrations (e.g., ALB, Traffic Manager, Application Gateway, F5)
  • DNS and integrations (e.g., Azure DNS, Infoblox, WinDNS)
  • Third-party integrations (e.g., Cloudstrike, Zscaler, CDN/WAF)
  • Exposure to AWS/GCP
• Broad deep Azure knowledge, including:
  • Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights
  • Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup
  • Azure Security, Azure Storage, Azure Automation (IaC)
  • App Services, AKS (containers)
• Experience with carrier circuits (e.g., MPLS, VPLS, point-to-point) and SD-WAN technologies
• Experience providing technical delivery oversight and strong consultative skills
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure solutions delivered via IaC (Bicep or Terraform)
• Ability to stay current on emerging technologies and their impact
• Performance analysis, troubleshooting, and remediation
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
• Self-starter; able to work independently or on virtual teams
• AZ-700 Azure Network Engineer certification
