About the role
Role Overview
Cloud Architect focused on Healthcare Data Governance for a direct client C2C contract role (4+ months, extendable). Remote work is available, with domestic travel for up to 3 client site visits (expenses paid) and AI-enabled metadata automation as part of the platform design.
Responsibilities
- Design Microsoft Purview multi-cloud architecture across Azure, AWS, and Snowflake
- Define collection hierarchy and implement a domain-based RBAC access control model
- Create healthcare-compliant taxonomy and classification schemes
- Architect AI accelerators using Azure OpenAI for automated metadata tagging and extraction
- Design end-to-end data lineage architecture (medallion: Bronze–Silver–Gold)
- Define and maintain governance policies for privacy, security, and interoperability
- Identify compliance risks in data handling and propose mitigation strategies
- Lead technical workshops and present architecture to CTO/CDO executives
- Guide implementation teams (Purview Engineers, AI Engineers, Security Lead) on complex integrations
Requirements (Must-have)
- 10+ years cloud architecture experience (primarily Azure)
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview Data Map, Information Protection, and DLP
- Hands-on Microsoft Purview experience within the last 18 months
- Experience with data lineage architecture and Apache Atlas APIs
- Strong healthcare/compliance background, including healthcare data standards
- Experience implementing data governance models in healthcare organizations
- Ability to protect PHI/PII in cloud environments
- C-level communication skills and ability to lead teams remotely (US + India)
- Strong documentation and architecture diagramming
- Experience with AI/GenAI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, LangChain, MS Copilot Studio) for metadata automation and intelligent data classification
- Availability for at least 3 onsite trips during the project
