About the role

Role Overview

Azure Disaster Recovery Architect (100% Remote) You will lead the organization’s disaster recovery architecture and strategy across Azure and on-prem environments as the DR program and Azure recovery capabilities mature.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall DR architecture and strategy across Azure and on-prem.
  • Develop recovery standards, runbooks, and application recovery sequencing.
  • Establish and validate RTO/RPO targets with business stakeholders.
  • Support Azure Site Recovery implementation, testing, and operational readiness.
  • Perform DR gap assessments and create remediation plans.
  • Create executive-ready DR scorecards and recovery readiness reporting.
  • Support ISO 27001 and audit readiness objectives.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning, tabletop exercises, and annual testing.

Requirements

  • Experience designing/leading disaster recovery architecture and strategy across cloud and on-prem.
  • Ability to define and validate RTO/RPO with stakeholders.
  • Hands-on involvement with Azure Site Recovery (implementation, testing, and readiness).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting ISO 27001 and audit readiness.
  • Background in business continuity planning and DR tabletop/annual testing.
