Cloud Architect

Role Overview

CTG is seeking a Cloud Architect to design, secure, and scale modern cloud solutions for high-impact federal initiatives. The role emphasizes resilient architecture, cloud modernization/migration, and embedding security and compliance best practices across the solution lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions
• Lead cloud modernization and migration efforts across enterprise environments
• Create cloud architecture standards and best practices
• Partner with engineering, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure cloud solutions
• Ensure federal security and regulatory compliance requirements are met
• Support IAM, encryption, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and cloud operations
• Assess technical risks, architecture tradeoffs, resiliency, and performance optimization
• Translate mission/business needs into scalable cloud architectures

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, or cloud architecture
• Hands-on AWS experience, including EKS, EC2, RDS, S3 (preferred)
• Exposure to Azure, especially disaster recovery and resiliency planning
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (container orchestration)
• Infrastructure automation experience (e.g., Ansible)
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, compute, storage, IAM, security groups, monitoring, and infrastructure design
• Cloud security architecture expertise: IAM, encryption, secrets management, logging, vulnerability management, and secure access controls
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA, CIS benchmarks (or similar regulated environments)
• Infrastructure as Code experience: Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK (or similar)
• Support for DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD integrations
• Strong skills in documentation, architecture reviews, and stakeholder communication

Requirements / Clearance

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, or Azure Architect
