Cloud Architect

Role Overview

Cloud Architect (GCP Enterprise Architect) — remote in the U.S. for a 6+ months contract. You will design and deliver secure, scalable, automated Google Cloud solutions for enterprise environments, leading cross-functional cloud architecture initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver enterprise Google Cloud solutions focused on security, scalability, and automation
• Lead cross-functional architecture initiatives and stakeholder alignment
• Design cloud networking and connectivity patterns for enterprise use cases
• Implement secure governance and compliance controls using GCP policy/security features
• Build and manage infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Enterprise/Cloud Architecture experience
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong Terraform / IaC experience
• Expertise in GCP IAM and governance mechanisms (e.g., Organization Policies)
• Experience with enterprise networking and security services including:
  • Shared VPC
  • VPC Service Controls
  • Private Service Connect
  • CMEK
• Experience in cloud security, governance, and compliance
• Strong stakeholder management and architecture leadership

Preferred Skills

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification
• Experience with Vertex AI / Gemini (e.g., RAG, Agent Engine, Vector Search)
• Prisma Cloud (CSPM)
• Policy/testing and security-as-code tools: OPA, Checkov, tfsec, Conftest
• Network Connectivity Center (NCC) and Azure hybrid connectivity
