Role Overview

Lead Cloud Engineer / Oracle Cloud Migrations SME (Senior Oracle Cloud Architect) for full application migrations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This is a 100% remote role on a fast-paced, high-visibility project requiring deep OCI architecture and migration leadership.

Responsibilities

• Act as the SME for OCI and lead application migrations from on-prem to OCI
• Migrate entire applications (not just databases), including redesigns to leverage cloud-native capabilities
• Develop comprehensive solution architectures for enterprise migrations
• Oversee integration with existing systems and infrastructure
• Handle a mix of migration approaches (e.g., “life and shift” and larger redesign efforts)

Requirements

• OCI Migration Architect Professional certification (strong preference)
• 10+ years cloud operations and migrations; 6+ years specifically migrating to OCI
• Strong experience migrating to OCI from on-prem and other cloud providers
• Proven expertise in Cloud Architecture, with ability to design scalable and secure Oracle Cloud solutions
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure and Integration across cloud-based and on-prem systems
• Ability to design enterprise-level cloud architecture frameworks
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Pure database migration specialists (the role is application-wide, across tiers/components)
• Cloud support professionals unless they have completed redesigns or lift-and-shift for enterprise-strength applications over multiple years
