About the role
Chief Solutions Architect / Solution Lead
Senior technical authority responsible for solution architecture, innovation, and growth enablement for federal clients.
Role Overview
- Lead the design and development of differentiated, compliant, and customer-focused technical solutions across capture, proposal, and delivery.
- Translate customer requirements and mission needs into scalable architectures and compelling technical narratives.
- Own the company’s Innovation Lab, including prototypes and proofs-of-concept.
- Lead and coordinate solution architects and technical contributors to drive technical excellence and measurable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Understand the GovCon industry and Federal RFP / proposal processes.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the company’s capabilities, solutions, and active engagements.
- Lead solution development efforts for new business pursuits and organic growth.
- Develop fully compliant and differentiated technical solutions during the capture phase.
- Identify and cultivate strategic technology partnerships; build and maintain a vendor ecosystem to accelerate growth into new accounts.
- Partner early with Growth to influence customer perspectives through solution concepts and points of view.
- Support bid/no-bid decisions by optimizing and analyzing opportunity pipeline.
- Lead proposal solution efforts:
- Analyze RFP Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Develop creative, cost-effective technical approaches
- Produce RFP technical responses (architectures, diagrams, and written narratives)
- Participate in pre-RFP and customer engagement meetings to address technical questions.
- Clearly interpret and articulate customer requirements from RFPs and PWS documents.
- Lead innovation culture and practices:
- Own the innovation pipeline (prototypes/PoCs)
- Collaborate with Delivery teams to operationalize innovations
- Demonstrate prototypes/PoCs to customers
- Support product development initiatives under CREPES.AI
- Lead the matrixed solution architecture practice area model:
- Attract, develop, retain technical talent
- Align architectures and innovation investments to short- and long-term growth
- Monitor marketplace and technology trends to inform the technical vision.
- Author and deliver technical presentations.
- Analyze alternative technical approaches and recommend best-fit solutions.
- Provide thought leadership via conferences, speaking, interviews, and publications.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Government Contracting (GovCon) and Federal RFP processes.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end technical solutioning for capture and proposals.
- Strong technical leadership and ability to translate customer/mission requirements into architectures and narratives.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building and leveraging a technology vendor partner ecosystem.
- Experience owning innovation activities (prototypes, proofs-of-concept) and enabling delivery adoption.
