About the role

Role Overview

Join Affirm as Chief of Staff to the SVP of Product. You will partner with the SVP of Product to scale product leadership, improve cross-functional execution, and champion the user in key decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and run product leadership rhythms and operating cadences
Co-own people processes with the HRBP (e.g., hiring and talent routines)
Partner with Technology Operations to define and improve planning and execution processes
Own headcount planning and budget management with Finance and HR partners
Drive AI retooling and enablement
Curate the external product narrative
Prepare executive briefings and materials
Run a recurring org health pulse
Contribute to roadmap planning: prioritization decisions and progress tracking

Requirements

Exceptional written communication (ghostwriting, narrative synthesis, drafting board-level materials)
Ability to operate with influence across senior leaders without formal authority
Strong analytical foundation and business acumen (product metrics, financials, growth analytics)
10+ years in roles that built product credibility and strategic narrative skills (strategy with deep product partnership, or prior Chief of Staff experience)
Track record running people processes at scale (hiring, calibrations, leveling, talent reviews)
Strong ability to identify organizational dysfunction early (e.g., hiring funnel issues, single points of failure, leadership gaps)
