Chief of Staff

Role Overview

Chief of Staff to the Chief Business Officer (CBO) at Swooped. You will act as the CBO’s strategic partner and proxy, driving commercial priorities, cross-functional alignment, and accountability as the company scales rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Drive Commercial Priorities: Partner with the CBO to define and execute partnership and supply strategy; lead cross-department special projects (e.g., RevOps to Finance) focused on complex deal structuring and economics.
• Build the Cross-Functional Bridge: Identify where support is needed across teams (finance, legal, product) to accelerate deal velocity and improve operational efficiency.
• Be the Flywheel of Accountability: Serve as the hub between the CBO and leadership team to ensure decisions cascade effectively, communication gaps are closed, and commitments are met.
• Prep the CBO for High-Stakes Moments: Create sharp, data-backed materials for board meetings, investor updates, and partner reviews; run commercial deep-dives and deliver recommendations.
• Extend the CBO’s Reach: Act as a trusted proxy in ELT forums; independently advance priorities and own the research and preparation powering ELT meetings.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in high-growth tech, strategy consulting, or fast-paced commercial operations.
• Background in fintech, travel-tech, or B2B SaaS is a plus.
• High EQ / low ego for managing diverse stakeholders.
• Strong ability to translate complex commercial and legal concepts into compelling narratives.
• Comfortable with project tracking, dashboards, and quota configuration, while also operating at high-level strategy.

Compensation

• Base pay range: $150,000–$220,000 USD
• Total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE) depending on experience, expertise, and location.
