Chief of Staff

Role Overview

Chief of Staff to the Chief Business Officer (CBO) at a high-growth, multi-product travel and fintech platform. This is a strategic, operator-style role acting as a proxy for the CBO—driving commercial priorities, cross-functional alignment, and rigorous execution as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

• Drive Commercial Priorities: Partner with the CBO on partnership and supply strategy; lead cross-department special projects (e.g., RevOps to Finance), including complex deal structuring and economics.
• Build the Cross-Functional Bridge: Identify where finance, legal, and product support are needed to accelerate deal velocity and improve operational efficiency.
• Be the Flywheel of Accountability: Connect the CBO and leadership team; ensure strategic decisions cascade clearly, communication gaps are closed, and teams deliver against commitments.
• Prep for High-Stakes Moments: Create data-backed materials for Board, investor updates, and partner reviews; conduct deep dives into the commercial architecture and deliver recommendations.
• Extend the CBO’s Reach: Act as a trusted proxy in critical meetings; advance priorities independently; own research and preparation for ELT discussions.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in high-growth tech, strategy consulting, or fast-paced commercial operations.
• Experience in fintech, travel-tech, or B2B SaaS is a plus.
• High emotional intelligence and low-ego, stakeholder-friendly leadership.
• Strong communication ability to translate complex commercial/legal concepts into clear narratives.
• Comfortable both in the weeds (project tracking, dashboards, quota configuration) and at the strategy level.
