About the role

Role overview

Chief of Staff, New Verticals at Atticus is a high-impact, executive-facing role focused on proving out and scaling new business lines, starting with Injury. Reporting to the General Manager and partnering directly with the CEO and cross-functional leaders, you’ll own a top-priority initiative end-to-end with real P&L ownership and authority over strategy and operations.

What you’ll do

  • Design and run a test-and-learn pipeline to improve client acquisition for Injury
    • Stand up scrappy paid channels
    • Broker partnerships with adjacent businesses
    • Pilot outreach approaches, then analyze results and decide where to double down
  • Build and iterate a web intake flow for Injury clients
    • Determine qualification and onboarding information requirements
    • Create a compelling flow that helps prospective clients feel confident as they engage with Atticus
    • Vibe code a new flow from scratch
  • Scope and sequence subsequent verticals after Injury
    • Build an evaluation framework to identify where Atticus is best positioned to win
    • Gather data to stress-test hypotheses
    • Own the prioritized roadmap

Requirements

  • Demonstrated judgment and ability to make decisive tradeoffs among competing priorities
  • Experience leading teams of high-performing individual contributors (cross-functional experience is a plus)
  • Experience mapping complex systems, gathering/analyzing data, making recommendations, and helping implement solutions
  • Strong collaboration and team-building skills: thoughtful, persuasive, able to shape culture and win buy-in
  • 0–1 years experience (as stated)
  • Commitment to doing good and helping people

Nice to have

  • Experience with marketplace or complex consumer services (e.g., insurance, fintech, medical, real estate)
  • Experience with consumer-focused research/discovery, including interviewing and empathizing with people from diverse backgrounds
