Chief of Staff

Role Overview

HappyRobot is seeking a Chief of Staff to act as a force multiplier for the leadership team. The role blends big-picture strategy with hands-on execution, serving as the connective tissue that keeps leadership aligned and operational cadence strong as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Bridge to Leadership: Partner directly with founders and executives to translate strategic priorities into clear plans and follow through to completion.
• Operating Rhythm: Design and run leadership meetings, all-hands, and quarterly planning cycles; continuously improve the systems that keep the company aligned.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Lead special projects spanning Product, Go-To-Market, and Operations, owning outcomes end-to-end (from scoping through delivery).
• Metrics and Accountability: Define and track company-wide OKRs with the executive team; use data to identify where execution is off track.
• Organizational Gaps: Identify missing structure/process across the company and build to close the gaps.

Requirements

• 4+ years in a high-ownership role such as management consulting, investment banking, startup operations, or a prior Chief of Staff position.
• Strong analytical and technical aptitude, including comfort using data to inform decisions.
• Experience operating in multi-stakeholder environments across executives, Engineering, and Commercial/Field teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to synthesize complex information for executive and board-level audiences.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with in-the-weeds execution.
