Role: Chief of Staff

Chief of Staff at Cortea AI, working directly with Co-Founder Valentin to translate vision into day-to-day operational execution. You’ll operate at the intersection of Growth, Strategy, Finance, and Operations, with an initial focus on UK and international expansion.

What you’ll do

• UK Market Building: Lead Cortea’s UK market entry, help grow local team and presence, and adapt processes, hiring, and go-to-market with the founders and Berlin team.
• Founder Force Multiplier: Serve as a proxy for the founders in internal and external meetings, keeping decisions and projects on track even when founders aren’t present.
• Strategic Initiatives (0→1 and scale): Drive high-impact projects from conception to completion (initially UK expansion; potentially pricing for an AI-era, or optimizing the sales-to-onboarding funnel).
• Scaling the AI-Native Operating System: Build repeatable processes, meeting cadences, and communication loops using AI agents and automation to scale toward €100m+ ARR without losing speed.
• Treat internal workflows as products: Identify and deploy AI automation wherever it removes friction.

What you bring

• 4+ years in high-velocity environments (e.g., top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, or high-growth VC-backed startup).
• Strategic operator: Strong market positioning thinking with the ability to get hands-on (e.g., spreadsheets, legal contracts).
• Financial fluency: P&L management, financial modeling, and SaaS metrics.
• Exceptional communicator: Can simplify complex AI and financial information into clear narratives for investors and the team.
• High agency: Writes the playbook in ambiguity (zero-to-one mindset).
• Language: Native in English; German is a plus.
• Work in-person: Willingness to travel to Berlin frequently.
• Legal right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).

How success is measured

• In 3 months: Completed UK operations deep-dive; deployed workflow automations; offloaded ~20% of the founders’ highest-priority tasks.
• In 6 months: Strengthened UK operations into a scalable foundation.
